From Cheese Rolling to Toe Wrestling

Weird News

The United Kingdom has some unusual sporting events. The 8NewsNow Good Day crew showed video of the annual “british cheese rolling competition” where racers tumble downhill, chasing after wheels of cheese.

They also showed another odd sporting event from across the pond: toe wrestling.

The world championship took place last weekend in Wetton, a couple of hours east of Liverpool, England.

Established in the 1970s, the unusual sport is similar to arm wrestling. After having their feet inspected – contestants sit on the ground, lock toes, and try to push the other’s foot to the side. This year’s winner? Alan “Nasty” Nash – his 16th championship.

John, Sherry and Nate then got into some serious joking with silly puns – and even some laughter. Enjoy!
