Forecast

It’s wind-chilly! No alerts for Las Vegas, but northerly wind gusts up to 30mph will continue through the day. The thermometer isn’t expected to move much during the day. We’re starting out in the low 40’s and it’s looking like we won’t get past 50 for the afternoon high.

The National Weather Service has issued a Lake Wind Advisory for Lake Mead starting running until 2 Saturday afternoon.

There is also a Freeze Watch for the Lake Mead area from 2am Saturday to 2am Sunday

As the wind slows down to the 15mph range tonight, the mercury will drop to near freezing to start the last weekend of 2018. Saturday’s high may reach 50 with Sunday geting up to 55. Wind may pick up again Sunday night but is *not* expected to be a factor for the Monday night New Year’s Eve fireworks shows. Monday’s high: 52. Tuesday’s high (Jan 1, 2019): 48
