There’s plenty of other road construction around the valley besides Project Neon.
Drivers in the far northwest valley know what that’s all about, as US95 is in the middle of that $78-million dollar widening between Ann Road and Kyle Canyon road at Mt Charleston.
Here are a few things you should know about the next few days along the 95 in that area.
First: the northbound side was taken down to one lane between Elkhorn and Skye Canyon Rd at 9 Tuesday night – and it’s going to stay that way until 5 Friday evening.
Second: the ramp from Durango to the south 95 closed at 8 Wednesday morning and is scheduled to reopen at 5 Wednesday evening. Try getting to the south 95 at either the northern 215 beltway or Skye Canyon.
Third: the ramps to and from the north 95 at Skye Canyon will be closed Wednesday night. The *on*ramp from Skye Canyon to the north 95 is scheduled to go out of service between 11 Wednesday night and 2 Thursday morning (just 3 hours). The ramp *from*the north 95 to get off at Skye Canyon closes at 9 Wednesday night and is supposed to reopen at 3 Thursday afternoon.
Buckle up, drive carefully and put down that phone!
