Ramping down as work ramps up.
This is in the far northwest on the Centennial Bowl project (where the 95 and 215 meet). To build the new and improved ramps there, NDOT crews first have to close some of the existing ramps. The latest is the ramp to Buffalo off the northbound 95 at the 215. The loop part of that ramp that used to circle around to the westbound northern beltway was replaced a month or so ago. Now the part of that ramp that takes you to Buffalo will also be out of service – temporarily, including Thursday night at 8 until 5am Friday and Sunday night into early Monday. It’s all about clearing space for what will eventually be new bridges from the eastbound northern 215 to the southbound 95. And that fancy flyover planned to hustle you along from the northbound 95 to the westbound 215. Don’t hold your breath waiting for those, though: the completion date is listed as “late 2021.”
Buckle up, drive carefully and put down that phone!
