Ready for a one-two punch from Project Neon’s “Main Event”?
Ready or not, there are overnight closures of I-15 both Wednesday and Thursday night. Let’s start with round 1:
NDOT crews are taking away the southbound side of the freeway from 10pmk Wednesday and scheduled to run until 4 Thursday morning – from Spring Mountain to Flamingo. Drivers will be coned off at Spring Mountain, sent west to Valley View, then south to Flamingo for access back onto the south 15.
Round 2 – Thursday night will hit *northbound drivers on the 15, with all lanes closed from Russell Road to Flamingo. This is supposed to start at midnight and last until 4am Friday. Anyone heading in that direction will be sent to Frank Sinatra Drive where you keep going until you get to Mel Torme way by the Fashion Show Mall where you curve around onto Spring Mountain to get back on the north 15.
What’s it all about? Well, before you throw in the towel, it’s once again all about the overhead signs they’re putting in so that when Project Neon throws in the towel you’ll have access to all kinds of helpful info heading toward the Spaghetti Bowl.
Buckle up, drive carefully – – and put down that phone!
