When is an improvement not really an improvement? It may be one of those “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” things. Viewer Amy writes:
”Eastbound On Alta Dr. between MLK and Grand Central Parkway, after the construction on Alta, the lanes have been poorly lined. They seem to run into each other and the left turn lane lines are very faded. Can someone PLEASE take a look?”
Well, Amy- how about if we go right to the source on this one. Our friend Tony Illia from NDOT says:
”We will be applying an asphalt overlay and final striping on Alta/Bonneville, which will eliminate the ‘ghost striping’ and faded striping issues. This work will occur in the March/April time frame. “
So, Amy, it sounds like if you can hang on for another month or so the fuzzy confusing lane lines on Alta will become a fuzzy memory. In the meantime, I hope you and your fellow Project Neon drivers are keeping an eye out as you navigate Alta/Bonneville between MLK and Grand Central Pkwy.
Buckle up, drive carefully and put down that phone!
