LAS VEGAS – Labeled by some as one of southern Nevada’s best kept secrets, the Clark County Wetlands Park is about to celebrate the 5th anniversary of it’s Nature Center.
Liz Bickmore from the Clark County Parks and Recreation Department was a guest on the 8NewsNow “Good Day” show Thursday morning to talk about all the events planned for Saturday, starting at 9am at the Park, which is in the far southeast valley at 7050 Wetlands Park Lane (Las Vegas, NV 89122). The best way to get there is to get off US95/515 at either Tropicana or Russell Road and go east to Broadbent.
The fee for the event is $30 online with advanced registration, or $40 on event day. Participants will receive a t-shirt, bib and raffle entry, and registration is limited to 250 participants.
The route of this untimed event winds through uneven terrain in some of the most scenic areas of the Nature Preserve. People and strollers are welcome, dogs are not.
In addition to the Nature Fun Run and Stroll, participants and the public are welcome to enjoy the free celebration that’s scheduled to run from from 9 am to noon.
Nathan Tannenbaum from 8NewsNow will be the MC for the festivities,
