The Vegas Golden Knights are teaming up with local libraries to push literacy in the valley.
The new “Vegas Born” library card was recently debuted. Librarians hope it brings more readers back to the aisles.
February is National Library Lover’s Month. We found Chance the Mascot having the time of his life at the Windmill Library over the weekend. Chance is part of an online blog with the library: sharing what he’s reading and taking advantage of the services.
The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District says this new campaign is really taking off.
“Last year during the Stanley Cup Playoff, LVCCLD was challenged by the Winnipeg library twitter account,” said Camille Cannon, Digital Content Coordinator. “It kind of snowballed into this thing that ended up leading a lot of new fans to the library.”
Cardholders can trade-in for the “Vegas Born” version for free. If you’re signing up for the first time, be sure to bring proof of residency – like a utility bill.
