The person who was shot in neighborhood near Charleston and Valley View boulevards has died, according to Metro Police.
The shooting occurred around 12:09 p.m. in the 1200 block of Melville Drive.
Police said, the victim, a man in his 40’s, was shot in front of the house.
Metro said the man was with a friend at the home, and that friend was working on a car when another man showed up and got into an argument with the victim. The argument quickly turned into a fist fight and then gunfire flew.
The victim was taken to UMC where he died. The suspect fled the area.

“We are looking for a Hispanic male from 20-25 years old,” said Ray Spencer, Homicide Lieutenant for LVMPD. “He was last seen in a dark colored sedan that was last seen southbound on Medville.”
No other details have been released.
