A truancy officer within the Clark County School District was arrested Wednesday on multiple charges including battery by strangulation of a student.
The Clark County School District Police Department arrested 56-year-old Scott Weissinger for an incident that allegedly occurred at a student’s home on Oct. 18.
According to CCSD Police, Weissinger was on duty for CCSD when he entered the student’s home illegally and committed the following alleged crimes:
- One felony count of battery by strangulation
- One felony count of burglary
- One general misdemeanor for child abuse/endangerment
Weissinger was hired by CCSD in Jan. 1991. He will be suspended without pay once he is released from custody.
