The Tree of Life is now shining brightly with more than 30,000 Christmas lights at the Healing Garden.
Organizers held a special lighting ceremony on Saturday night to honor the victims of the 1 October shooting.
“This is going to be the first holiday without their loved one. That’s why it’s so important to make sure they don’t feel like we’ve forgotten what’s happened and that as a community we are still 100% behind them,” said Jessica Anderson, event organizer.
Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman spoke at the event and entertainers Siegfried and Roy helped make the whole thing a reality.
Along with the huge Tree of Life, there were also 58 smaller trees, one for each of the people who lost their lives during the shooting.
