A father, his son and a friend faced a judge in a Las Vegas courtroom Wednesday morning following a string of robberies across the Las Vegas valley.

Police say Steven Warren is the main suspect in the robberies which include four stores and a taxi cab driver.

Also facing charges in the taxi cab robbery are Warren’s father, John Warren and a friend, Matthew Amthor.

Police say Steven Warren robbed the stores between April 2 and April 6. In at least three of the cases, witnesses told police, he acted like a normal customer wanting to make a purchase.

According to his arrest report, he was apologetic to the cashiers, even claiming he was committing the robberies because he had a sick child.

In nearly all of the stores, police were able to get good surveillance of Warren.

Police did get video of all three men during the alleged robbery of the taxi driver which shows all three men in the cab and Steven Warren pulling out a weapon and demanding money.

Police were able to make an arrest after a tip from an anonymous caller.

Attorneys have been appointed for all three men.

According to the Clark County Detention Center’s website, a bail amount has still not yet been set.
