McCarran International Airport will be filled with holiday travelers next week.
Airport officials have some tips on how to make the traveling go smooth.
Travelers should arrive at McCarran at least two hours before a flight’s scheduled departure. Make sure you know which terminal you need to go to. This link will help you locate the terminal for your airline. You can expect some long lines and finding a parking space will be difficult as lots reach their capacity.
Both Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 parking garages offer long-term parking starting at $2 for the first 30 minutes, but not exceeding $16 per day.
Valet parking is $6 for the first hour, but not exceeding $23 per day.
There is also economy parking available for $10 per day.
The economy lot that serves Terminal 1 is located off of Kitty Hawk Way, just south of Tropicana Avenue and west of Paradise Road. Shuttles run continuously between this lot and Terminal 1. You should plan an extra 30 minutes if you use this lot. This shuttle will not deliver passengers to Terminal 3.
The economy lot that serves Terminal 3 is just east of the Terminal 3 parking garage and within walking distance of the level 1 pedestrian bridge leading into the terminal. There are signs posted for the economy lot as you approach the Terminal 3 the parking garage.
For a live update on the parking situation, you can call (702) 261-5122.
Please check with TSA for the latest travel guidelines and what is allowed in carry-on baggage.
If you are picking up a traveler at the airport, you should use the short-term parking garage to pick up the passenger curb-side or park and wait for them to arrive.
