North Las Vegas police say they have made an arrest in the triple homicide that took the life of a mother and her two adult children.

Last night, 41-year-old Jose Easley Jr. was taken into custody without incident for the deadly shooting of three adults that happened Sunday. He was subsequently arrested and booked at the Las Vegas City Jail for three counts of murder with a deadly weapon, one count of attempt murder with a deadly weapon, one count of battery with a deadly weapon, one count of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of ex-felon in possession of a firearm, and one count of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit.

The shooting happened just before 9:00 p.m. Sunday night at a shopping center near Lake Mead Blvd. and Simmons St. in North Las Vegas.

North Las Vegas Police say the shooting happened at a shopping center near Lake Mead and Simmons in North Las Vegas Sunday night. In addition to the three victims who lost their lives, police say a fourth victim, a man, was injured in the shooting and taken to the hospital.

The coroner identified the victims as Susan, Deontae, and Dajonae Nash. Members of the community attended a vigil in their memory and looked forward to the suspect being brought to justice.

Officers believe the suspect got into an argument with the victims and then shot all four people. Investigators believe this was not a random act of violence.

Some businesses in the complex have shattered windows, which have since been boarded up. Metro Police collected whatever evidence it could find from those businesses, including surveillance footage.

The identity of the suspect and additional details surrounding the shooting have yet to be released.
