Seven officers opened fired in deadly police shooting

A total of seven police officers fired their weapons in Thursday’s deadly shooting which occurred in the northeast valley.

The officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reportedly shot and killed the man after he tried to run them down with his car, according to investigators. 

The man was one of three suspects connected to a violent string of east valley robberies, police said.

Below is the list of officers who opened fire in the incident. 

  • Officer Jeremiah Beason, 37, employed with LVMPD since November 2009.
  • Officer Anthony Gariano, 24, employed with LVMPD since December 2015.
  • Officer Jordan Anderson, 32, employed with the LVMPD since November 2014.
  • Officer Frank Rycraft, 42, employed with LVMPD since March 2014.
  • Officer Robert Stephenson, 36, employed the LVMPD since December 2015.
  • Officer Joseph Aguilos, 31, employed LVMPD since September 2014.
  • Officer Craig McIntosh, 42, employed with LVMPD since February 2016. 

All of the officers are assigned to the Community Policing Division in the Northeast Area Command. They have been placed on routine paid administrative leave pending the outcome of a review of the incident.
