Rain, winds, storms create airport delays


Tuesday afternoon became a Jekyll and Hyde day when it comes to the weather in the valley. 

The day started out with excessive heat until the storms rolled into several spots in the southwest area. Heavy rain fell with winds gusting up to 30 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service. The aftermath created delays at McCarran Airport and power outages on Charleston near Decatur.
