Police looking for more information on sexual assault suspect

Metro Police are trying to get more information on a man who they say attempted to sexually assault two women.

The alleged attack took place on Tuesday, Dec. 30 around 8:42 p.m. at an apartment in the 1600 block of E. Sahara Avenue.

According to police, a woman left her apartment briefly to take trash out and left the door unlocked. When she returned to her bedroom, a man, who had been hiding in her closet, attacked her. Her roommate, who was in the bathroom heard the victim scream and ran to her aid. The suspect then attempted to assault the second woman, before running from the apartment.

Police have few details on the suspect and are working on a sketch to release.

The suspect is described as a African-American man around 25 or 26 years old, 5’7″ to 5’8″ tall, with dark eyes, thin build and is believed to have scratches on his face. He was wearing a black or dark hoodie and wearing one glove on his left hand.
