A 40-year-old man has died following a shooting in North Las Vegas Thursday morning, police said.
The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. along the 2500 block of Daley Avenue which is in the area of Carey Avenue and N. Las Vegas Boulevard.
The suspected shooter knocked on the door of the residence and the victim answered the door. After a short conversation, the shooter fired about 20 rounds, according to the North Las Vegas Police Department.
Out of the 20 rounds, only one struck the victim, police said. Medical responders rushed the victim to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police are asking the public to avoid the area. This marks the 6th homicide investigation for NLVPD or 2018.
