Police arrest man who allegedly shot, killed man in NLV

The man accused of shooting and killing a man in North Las Vegas was arrested Sunday night.

Jeffery Moore, 23, faces several charges including murder with a deadly weapon.

The shooting happened early Sunday around 3 a.m. in the 3100 block of East Tropical Parkway.

North Las Vegas Police said officers were dispatched to the area due to reports of a man down in the roadway. Police said the 32-year-old man was found in the street with apparent gunshot wounds.

Medical personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene.  The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim at a later date.

Investigators determined the victim was in a vehicle with acquaintances, including the suspect, when he was shot. 

The victim was left on the median, and the people he was with left the scene, North Las Vegas Police said. 

Moore was picked up and arrested by police in the 3600 block of Remington Grove Avenue.

Moore was transported to the Las Vegas City Jail and booked on one count of murder with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm within a vehicle, and destroying evidence.
