Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf Welcomes World Meeting of Families Visitors

Governor Wolf’s message to visitors:

“The World Meeting of Families and Papal Visit is a once-in-a-lifetime event for Philadelphia and the entire commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I’m looking forward to seeing Pennsylvania shine across the world as visitors come to Philadelphia and watch the event across the globe.

“With millions of visitors and residents planning on being in Philadelphia, and the eyes of the world on Pennsylvania the safety and health of area residents and visitors is our most important priority.

“Our public safety professionals, first responders and members of the National Guard will be there to keep you and your families safe.

“The Department of Health, PEMA, and PennDOT are working to make sure resources, including water, food and fuel, are available to travelers in need – but you will help first responders if you are prepared.

“This important event should be an incredible memory for everyone attending and millions watching across the globe.

“On behalf of all Pennsylvanians, I hope that you enjoy this awesome event and that we can use this opportunity to show off our great state to the world.
