Metro Police investigated a shooting in the northwest valley Wednesday night. It happened at approximately 7:15 p.m. in the 6900 block of N. Durango Drive.
Metro says some sort of interaction occurred between a man and a security guard near an apartment complex. Police say the guard felt his life was in danger and shot the man.
The shooting victim was taken to University Medical Center and is now in stable condition. It is unclear which security company employs the guard or what he was hired to protect.
Police say two shots may have been fired.
Investigators are still determining if the shooting was in self defense.
