Law enforcement officers surrounded an SUV thought to be connected to suspects involved in a mass shooting in California.

The shooting happened at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino Wednesday around 11 a.m.

According to a news conference held by San Bernardino Police, around 4 p.m., officers were doing follow up work in the area when they located the suspects’ SUV.

San Bernardino Police said shots were exchanged between authorities and the suspects.  One officer was injured during the gun battle.

Police said one suspect was also shot.  There are reports that a second suspect is in police custody.

There’s no word on the third suspect, but reports say that person may be on the loose.

Residents near San Bernardino Avenue east of Mt. View are asked to stay in their homes, and lock the doors.

According to police, 14 people were killed, and 18 others were injured when three gunmen walked into the Inland Regional Center and started shooting late Wednesday morning.
