One dead, two injured in North Las Vegas shooting

One man is dead and two injured following a shooting Friday morning in North Las Vegas, police said.

The shooting happened around 5:10 a.m. at a four-plex on the 2500 block of Ellis Street which is in the area of N. Las Vegas Boulevard and Carey Avenue.

Officers arrived to find three people shot. One man died at the scene. He has been identified by the Clark County Coroner as 33-year-old Hasan Ameen.

Medical responders rushed two other males to the hospital, one with critical injuries, said Aaron Parry, North Las Vegas Police Department.

Investigators did not have any further details at this time. They are looking to speak with witnesses who may have information on the shooting. 

“We are asking more people to come forward. Especially in cases like this when we get tips and information from the public it often times helps lead to an arrest,” Patty said.
