The Nye County Sheriff’s office released video Thursday of a deputy breaking a window of a car to save a woman’s life.

On Tuesday, at 11:42 a.m. the Nye County Sheriff’s office answered a call about a woman who was experiencing a medical issue.  When deputies arrived on scene with Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue, they noticed the woman sitting in a parked vehicle with all of the windows up, but she was unresponssive.

It was hot outside, and according to witnesses, the woman had been in the vehicle, for at least two hours.  Deputies tried to open the car, but all of the doors were locked, so a sergeant broke out the windows.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment and is expected to be ok.
