Nye County deputies and detectives worked with several other agencies to eradicate a large outdoor marijuana grow in Peavine Canyon near Round Mountain.

The officers say they began working off of a tip and investigated the grow farm for several weeks. During the raid over 9,000 plants were seized as well as 500 pounds of finished and packaged product.

The confiscation of over $20 million dollars in illegal marijuana is the largest narcotics bust in the history of Nye County.

Three men, Jordan Torres (26), Jose Mendez-Ayala (30), and Eustacio Piedra-Robledo (38) were arrested in connection to the illegal operation.
