NYC suspect barricade in home near Decatur, Robindale taken into custody

A barricade situation near N. Nellis Boulevard and E. Carey Avenue ended peacefully Wednesday night.

The SWAT team responded to the incident around 2:30 p.m. after a man wanted in New York City refused to come out of a home in the 7800 block of Flagler Street in the area of Decatur Boulevard and Robindale Road.

Metro Police were trying to serve the man with an arrest warrant when he barricaded himself inside the home.

There’s no word on what the man was wanted for, but the neighborhood was shut down for several hours and reopened around 7:30 p.m.

The FBI, Las Vegas Metro Police Department and Henderson Police worked together to capture the suspect.  

8 News NOW has reached out the police in New York City to gain more information surrounding the suspect’s arrest.
