There is no safety threat to the public after an explosion occurred at the Timet facility, according to the Henderson Fire Department. 

Firefighters were dispatched to the scene around 8:15 a.m. to the factory on Water Street near Lake Mead Parkway.

The explosion happened during the magnesium mold process and was contained to the building, said Kathleen Richards, HFD. 

Two employees suffered a minor burn, but did not need medical attention, Richards said. 

Firefighters are at the scene assessing the damage. No roads or businesses are currently closed. 

Richards added that the public is safe.
