The North Las Vegas Police Department is warning the public of a fake GoFundMe account raising money for the detective who recently died after being hit by a wrong-way driver.
According to the department, there are no authorized or legitimate GoFundMe accounts set up to benefit Detective Chad Parque’s family. NLVPD asks the public not to donate to any GoFundMe accounts.
In order to ensure donation benefits the family of Detective Parque, all donations should be directed to the only account that has been established to aid the family.
