NHL announces 2018-19 season schedule; Golden Knights to face Capitals on Oct. 10


The NHL’s 2018-19 regular season will commence Wednesday, Oct. 3, with a four-game slate, highlighted by the Washington Capitals raising their first Stanley Cup championship banner before facing the Boston Bruins at Capital One Arena. 

The Golden Knights will host the opener when the team faces off against the Philadelphia Flyers at T-Mobile Arena at 7 p.m. 

On Oct. 10, there will be a repeat sort of speak of the Stanley Cup Final when the Knights and the Capitals meet to battle it out once again on the ice. The game will be played in Washington. It starts at 5 p.m.

The 1,271-game regular-season schedule – 82 games per team – will conclude Saturday, April 6, 2019.
