New 2018 Nevada laws go into effect


A total of 57 laws passed by the 2017 Nevada Legislature took effect on New Year’s Day.

Everything from rules governing elections to other laws protecting the elderly, most of the legislature’s work has already taken effect. Either in July or October of last year, a few laws were set to go into effect for the new year, including laws that govern how people who are subject to guardianships are treated.
