MUG SHOT: Police arrest man suspected of fatally stabbing woman in east Las Vegas

UPDATE SEPT. 13: Las Vegas police have arrested 25-year-old Eric Pedersen, who was reportedly outside of the store acting suspiciously prior to the murder. 

Through the course of their investigation, detectives identified a nearby where Pedersen was possibly staying and were able to take him into custody. Pedersen was booked into CCDC for one count of Murder with a Deadly Weapon.

Detectives believe that the victim was randomly targeted and had no know connection with Pedersen.

ORIGINAL STORY: Las Vegas police are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred near a Green Valley Grocery convenience store at Lake Mead and Hollywood boulevards. 

According to homicide detectives, a woman was stabbed in the parking lot of a Green Valley Grocery around 5:42 a.m. and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Their investigation shows that the woman and a white male were arguing in the parking lot shortly before the stabbing. That man has not been located by police.
