A motorcyclist has died after crashing on the SR160 eastbound/I15 northbound flyover ramp, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Medical responders rushed the 66-year-old man to the University Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries, said Trooper Jason Buratczuk, NHP.

Investigators believe an article of clothing got caught in the rear wheel of the bike which caused a skid. The bike rolled over and the ride was thrown.

The rider is said to have been a Las Vegas resident.

Coroner investigators will release the identity of the motorcyclist once the next of kin is notified.
