Mother of 2 killed in six-car crash, driver faces DUI, hit-and-run charges

The woman killed in a Thursday morning crash involving six vehicles was 32-year-old Donneka Harris.

The devastated family and friends of Harris are taking to social media to express their grief describing Harris as a beautiful mother, wife and friend.

Las Vegas police say 38-year-old Sarah Lee was driving under the influence when she hit a car, then ran a red light causing a second collision at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Warm Springs Road. Lee’s car slammed into Harris’ vehicle, killing her. Several other cars were also hit, leaving three people injured.

Meanwhile, police say Lee ran off to a nearby Boot Barn store where she reportedly changed clothes but officers caught up with her.

Lee was taken to the hospital. She now faces two felony charges for DUI and hit-and-run. She will go before a judge next week.

Harris leaves behind a wife, who was injured in the crash, and two children.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Harris’ family with funeral expenses during this very difficult time.
