Winter Storms across the Midwest United States are forcing flight cancellations and delays at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas. There were at least a dozen delays on Midwest flights Wednesday morning.
Historic winter storm in the Upper Midwest cancels more than 1,400 flights today. We’re tracking the impact in our area LIVE from @LASairport on @8NewsNow Good Day. #8NN. pic.twitter.com/CcGdGqqBvo— Hector Mejia (@hectormejianews) January 30, 2019
Airlines have been forced to cancel more than 1,400 flights across the country today due to treacherous conditions in the upper-Midwest states. At least 12-flights are no longer flying into Las Vegas as planned this morning and at least 7 flights leaving McCarran International Airport were canceled as well.
We’re told several carriers including Jetblue, American, and Frontier airlines are waiving date-change fees for travelers affected by the severe weather. Airports with the most cancellations are in Chicago, Saint Louis, Minneapolis, and really anywhere in the upper-Midwest.
If you have a flight out or you are expecting a visitor into town today, double check with McCarran or the airline.
