Metro seeks to speak to man about incident involving child at store

Metro Police want to speak to a man who is a person of interest in an incident involving a child at a local store.

On Nov. 24, at approximately 10 p.m. a family was shopping inside of a retail store located near the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Rampart Boulevard when their son was allegedly detained by a man in the bathroom.

According to police, while the family was in the building shopping, their son went inside of the restroom and was in there for some time. When a family member was about to go and check on the juvenile, the child came out, and the family left the store.

However, as they were leaving, the juvenile disclosed to a parent that a man kept him in the restroom and wouldn’t let him leave.
The family went back into the store and reported the incident to employees, but the suspect was not found.
