Metro Police seek possible victims of sexual assault suspect

News

Las Vegas Metro Police believe a man they arrested for sexual assault could be a suspect in other crimes.

During an afternoon news conference, Lieutenant Dave Valenta with the LVMPD, Sex Crimes Section, released a photo of 34-year-old Joseph Warren who was arrested on March 7.

Valenta said, Warren was wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a woman on March 1 in Freedom Park.

Warren is a registered sex offender from a 2006 case. He is also currently in a court proceeding for an open and gross lewdness charge in Feb. 2016.

“We believe we have a serious prolific offender on our hands,” Valenta said.

Warren is facing charges of sexual assault, kidnapping, battery to commit sexual assault and open and gross lewdness.

Police are asking that anyone with that might have information on Warren to contact them at the department’s Sex Crimes Section at (702) 828-3421. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-555 or online at www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
