The department two weeks ago released video from two officers’ body cameras showing police blasting through the door of the 32nd-floor hotel suite where authorities say gunman Stephen Paddock killed himself before officers arrived.

Metro had tried to delay the release of the video, 9-1-1 calls and documents, but the Nevada Supreme Court ruled the information should be made public.

these documents not only give hundreds more eyewitness accounts from inside the concert venue but also statements from people who dealt with Paddock in days leading up to the shooting.

Metro police redacted names in the documents but 8 News NOW is able to identify a few of the people. In one of the statements, Jason Aldean’s name was blacked out related to what a witness was doing when the shots rang out.

Another victim told investigators what it felt like when he was shot — like he had been punched in the shoulder. He felt something under his skin and was losing a lot of blood.

Another concert goer described running and getting into a car realizing she and her friend couldn’t go anywhere before seeking shelter at a McCarran airplane hanger.

One statement sticks out because the witness describes seeing a flash from Mandalay Bay and seeing a girl get shot in the leg and ending the statement by simply saying “God bless.”

In the days leading up to the shooting, a man who had the schematics to build an AR-15 said he met Paddock at the Bass Pro Shop parking lot and turned down Paddock’s offer to build assault-style rifles for him for $500 a piece (PDF 10)
He said, Paddock was rambling about conspiracy theories and figured he was just another “internet nut” and that Paddock said “somebody has to wake up the American public and get them to arm themselves… sometimes sacrifices have to be made.”

Finally, you can read part of security guard Jesus Campos’ statement (PDF 10) saying he went down the hall when he heard Paddock drilling in his room leading to shots coming out of Paddock’s room.
