If the return of Conor McGregor didn’t quite feel real enough before then today’s ticket sales should do the trick.
“The Notorious” makes his official return to the Octagon against undefeated mauler Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 on Oct. 6.
Fans had their fingers on the purchase buttons this morning in hopes to land a ticket to what is easily the most anticipated fight of the year, but those fans were left extremely disappointed. In less than 3 minutes all of the tickets were sold, and those lucky enough to get past the waiting line before then only saw tickets priced $1,000 and above.
Quite pricey for casual fans.
A quick check on StubHub reveals hundreds of tickets for sale. Many of those tickets marked 2 or 3 times higher than face value.
It’ll be interesting to see if those prices drop as the fight approaches or if fans throw caution to the wind and break the bank to see “Mystic” Mac?
