Investigators say a fight led to a deadly shooting at the Ok Corral Bar and Night Club.
The shooting happened around 7:05 a.m. on Saturday morning in the area of Nellis Boulevard and Owens Avenue.
Two people were shot during the incident. A Hispanic man in his 20’s suffered two shots to the chest and died outside the front entrance of the business, according to Metro homicide investigators.
A waitress was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital. She is expected to survive, said investigators.
About were about 40 people inside the business when a suspect fired at least five to six shots.
Metro police say the OK Corral has had several similar problems in the past including another shooting last year. The department’s special investigation section is looking into the business.
“Whenever there are multiple incidents that require police, their license is subject to review as far as business,” said Metro Lt. Dan McGrath.
An armed security guard chased the suspected shooter described as a Hispanic man with a ponytail and sunglasses, but he got away, according to police.
Homicide detectives are now reviewing surveillance video and speaking with numerous witnesses who were at the bar.
This is the 9th homicide investigation for LVMPD of 2017.
