Project Neon’s final phase the “Main Event” is underway and it is causing some major traffic issues Monday morning.
The project will widen the I-15 from the U.S. 95 interchange to Sahara Avenue.
Over the weekend, the ramp from U.S. 95 southbound to I-15 southbound was reduced to one lane and drivers are being detoured.
(DETOUR – Stay on U.S. 95 southbound, there is a dedicated lane to I-15 southbound past the usual U.S. 95 ramp to I-15.)
The MLK Boulevard on ramp to I-15 southbound was also closed. These changes will be in place until December. (If you get on MLK – stay on to Charleston to get back on I-15 southbound)
At 9 p.m. Monday night, the I-15 southbound off ramp to Sahara Avenue and Highland Drive will be closed until 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Also, U.S. 95 northbound to the I-15 southbound ramp will also be closed at the same time.
I-15 northbound and southbound will be cut down to one lane in both directions between D Street and Sahara Avenue. This work will take place from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. each day until March 9.
