Local Red Cross volunteers deployed to southern California


Local help is on the way to the southern California wildfires.

The southern Nevada chapter of the Red Cross have deployed volunteers to assist those evacuating and the relief efforts. California’s biggest and most active fire is in Ventura County and has burned more than 200 square miles and destroyed more than 400 buildings.

8 News NOW reporter Shakala Alvaranga spoke with one of the volunteers and has the story.
