A 96-year-old woman was killed after she was struck by a vehicle at Sahara Avenue near Decatur Boulevard Tuesday afternoon.
Masumi Nakamura was pronounced dead after she arrived at the hospital.
According to Metro Police, Nakamura was walking on a sidewalk on Sahara when she was struck by a driver making a turn out of a private drive onto Sahara.
The 88-year-old driver was not believed to be impaired. The incident is under investigation.
