Starting to see an increase in cases. This is the fourth biggest increase since the pandemic was declared in Nevada. An increase like this was expected according to health officials. The reponse team is adding positions

The response team is adding positions and hundreds of people to the contact tracing team to minimize the spread. Health officials say if everyone does their part we can keep the disease at bay.

“Though we are seeing an increase in cases we don’t provide this data to scare Nevadans, we provide this data because it empowers you and allows you to take actions, we have reminded you that social distancing and face masks, even made face masks, are the way to stop the spread of the infection,” said Deputy Administrator Julia Peek.

With the most current data, it is still too early to tell if we will see a major second wave. However, state and local health officials continue to monitor the progress of the disease.
