Police in Las Vegas have released more body-camera videos showing heavily armed officers in empty casinos and on neon-lit Strip sidewalks after the deadliest mass shooting in the nation’s modern history.
In the latest batch of 29 videos that were released, you can see Metro Police officers, along with Mandalay Bay Hotel security trying to direct a crowd outside of a theater, while releasing people in groups of 15.
They include officers telling pedestrians to stay away from a wide cordon around Mandalay Bay resort, scene of the Oct. 1, 2017, shooting that killed 58 people at an open-air concert.
In another video, officers can be seen outside a hospital as shooting victims from the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival start to arrive. You can see the victims being brought onto hospital property in a wheelchair or on a stretcher at the time code of 18:51.
The footage totaling more than 12 hours was the 23rd batch of documents, videos and police reports released since May under a public records lawsuit.
Sheriff Joe Lombardo declared the investigation closed in August with no motive found for the attack.
Authorities say they believe the gunman acted alone and was not part of a terrorist conspiracy.
A final FBI report is expected by the end of the year.
