The scenic loop at the Red Rock Conservation Area is once again open to the public after taking a woman into custody, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
The NHP sent out a tweet Tuesday morning around 10:15 a.m. saying the loop was closed and urged people to stay away from the area.
According to North Las Vegas Police, they received a call about a suicidal armed woman who left a home in the 5100 block of Rocky Bluff Street, near Washburn Road and Valley Drive. Police used Onstar and tracked the woman’s car to Red Rock. They located the car, which was running, but couldn’t find the woman for about 30 minutes. The woman has been taken into custody for a medical check and the loop has reopened.
