Henderson Police are investigated a shooting at Green Valley Ranch Hotel and Casino early Tuesday evening.
According to officers, around 3:39 p.m. hotel guest alerted authorities to a man who was walking through the lobby carrying a gun. Three security officers confronted the man in the east tower lobby.
Two of the guards were armed.
A verbal altercation occurred between the man and the security guards. The suspect, whose identity has not been released, showed his gun.
The security guards shot the man. The suspect was treated at the scene, but he died from his inuries.
Initially there were reports that there was an active shooter at Green Valley Ranch.

However, Henderson Police said this was an isolated incident. It was not an active shooter.
No word on if the suspect fired any shots. There also wasn’t any information released as to how many rounds were fired by the security guard.
Henderson Police are still investigating.
The Green Valley Ranch is owned by gaming company Station Casinos.
Station Casinos spokeswoman Lori Nelson did not immediately respond to an email seeking information.
