Rainbow reopens in southwest Las Vegas after closure due to robbery investigation

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police closed Rainbow Boulevard, between Windmill Lane and Robindale Road for more than three hours Monday morning while they investigated a robbery in the southwest area.

There is no word yet on whether police made an arrest but the road has reopened.

According to Metro Police the robbery took place around 8:30 a.m. in the 7700 block of South Rainbow Boulevard, near the Robindale Road intersection. It appeared the incident occurred at a Dairy Queen restaurant. A nearby Children’s Learning Center and Judith Steele Elementary School were put on lockdown as a precaution.
