The entertainment district of downtown Las Vegas will see its first casino-resort built from the ground up in more than three decades when the 777-room Circa opens in December 2020. Derek Stevens, one of the owners of the D Hotel, located in down Las Vegas, revealed the name of his new hotel Thursday.
The announcement about the Circa Resort and Casino came after Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman’s State of the City address.

Details of the planned casino-resort that will rise along the casino-flanked Fremont Street were announced Thursday. The owners are promising amenities that include a stadium-style sports book, multi-tiered pool amphitheater and a two-level casino.
Co-owner Derek Stevens told the Associated Press the property will offer guests fun and exciting things to do while honoring the history of Las Vegas.
The property’s hotel tower will be the tallest building north of the Las Vegas Strip.
The famous neon sign of the high-kicking Vegas Vickie cowgirl will come out of storage and be placed in the lobby.
