LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man is dead after a stabbing at a northwest Las Vegas valley apartment complex, according to Metro police.

On Sunday around 5 p.m., police responded to a call stating a man was stabbed and lying on the ground at the back of an apartment complex in the 2900 block of North Rancho Drive near North Decatur Boulevard.

When officers arrived they found the victim in a roadway that separates two different apartment buildings with apparent stab wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said that the victim was at an apartment on one side of the roadway and the suspect was in an apartment on the other side. The two got into an argument and the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim.

The suspect left the scene in a dark-colored sedan.

LVMPD homicide detectives are in the process of confirming the suspect’s identity.
