A special election will be held to fill the Las Vegas City Council seat left vacant by the resignation of Steve Seroka.

City Council members voted unanimously Wednesday to hold the special election for the Ward 2 seat.

The election will be held on the same day as the general election on June 11 in order to save costs.

Candidates can file for the seat from Monday, March 25 to March 28.

Seroka resigned on March 4.
